Granite Classical Tutorial embraces and operates from a Reformed biblical worldview. The following is the foundation of beliefs on which Granite Classical Tutorial is based. These statements of belief will be taught and vigorously defended in various ways through all grade levels.
- We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent. (Matthew 28:19, 2 Corinthians 13:14, Job 42:2, Daniel 2:21, 1 John 3:20, Matthew 10:29-30, Psalm 33:13-14, Colossians 1:17)
- We believe the Bible to be the only inerrant, authoritative Word of God. (2 Tim. 3:16)
- We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory. (Col. 2:9, John 10:30, Matt. 1:23, 1 John 3:5, Matt. 4:23-24, 2 Cor. 5:21, Mark 16:19, 1 Thess. 4:15-17, Acts 1:11)
- We believe all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God and for the salvation of lost and sinful men, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely necessary. (Romans 3:21-30)
- We believe that salvation is by grace through faith alone. (Ephesians 2:8-9)
- We believe saving faith manifests itself in good works. (Ephesians 2:8-10, John 15:8)
- We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. (Romans 8:11, 1 John 5:6, John 14:26)
- We believe in the physical resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved to the resurrection of eternal life and they that are lost to the resurrection of eternal damnation. (John 5:28-30, Acts 24:14-15)
- We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. (Philippians 1:2, Romans 14:19)
- We believe that every person must be afforded compassion, love, kindness, respect, and dignity. (Mark 12:28-31; Luke 6:31). Hateful and harassing behavior or attitudes directed towards any individual are to be repudiated and are not in accord with Scripture nor the teaching of Granite Classical Tutorial.
- We believe that God wonderfully and immutably created each person as distinctly male or female (Gen. 1:26-31; 2:18-25; 5:1, 2). These two distinct and divinely representative genders together reflect the image and nature of God.
- We believe that the term “marriage” has only one meaning; the union of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as delineated in Scripture. (Genesis 2:18-25; Matthew 19:4-6; Ephesians 5:22-33). We believe that God intends sexual intimacy to occur between a man and a woman who are married to each other. (1 Corinthians 7:2-5, Hebrews 13:4). We believe that any form of sexual immorality (including adultery, fornication, homosexual behavior, bisexual conduct, transgender conduct, bestiality, incest, and use of pornography) is sinful and offensive to God. (Matthew 15:18-20, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, 18
